Porcelain bowls 2018

These are some of the porcelaine bowls I’ve been working on the past months (13×6,5 cm). The bowl is one of the oldest human forms, and its cultural significance is enormous. Apart from simplifying daily life, bowls are part of religious and spiritual rituals all over the world, and they have been a surface for art […]

Sculptures »Mann« and »Frau« 2017

“Mann” and “Frau” (clay, both l=12 cm) are two small sculptures I made spontaneously thinking about Francis Bacons dissolution of the human face and body. The sculptures simultaneously suggest sensuality and brutality.

internal landscape painting 2015

The paintings I made in this year are influenced by nature and especially by the vineyards where they were painted. I was interested in the brilliant colors that you can find in nature and the slow dissolution into the mind. Oil on canvas

Sculpture “my mountain made of clay” 2016

“my mountain made of clay” (length 35cm) is one of the first sculptures I’ve made with clay and it was a sort of “homecoming”. This mountain was modeled after one of the mountains in the “Ötschergebirge”, an area close to my hometown. I’ve always felt connected to mountains, I think they say something about the […]

Exhibition “I need you to be more concrete”

This was my first solo show in a small space in Vienna. The title refers to the sometimes intangibility of art and the process of art making, and my personal confrontation with it at that time.
